A white woman with shoulder length brown curly hair, wearing a white blouse and black skirt, sits in a body of water. Her gaze is turned towards her extended arm. Her hand is lightly grazing the surface of the ward.

Portrait by Lisa East

Driven by a deep connection to the land and their spiritual practice, Alexis (she/they) is a queer, interdisciplinary pagan artist weaving together themes of body, disability, nature, and ancestral wisdom.

Working across mediums from poetry and photography to dance, textiles, ceramics, and painting, Alexis creates evocative pieces that resonate with the rhythms of the moon, water, and the natural world.

Their work has been featured at the Art Gallery of Ontario, including the digital exhibit Portraits of Resilience (2021) and the physical exhibit I AM HERE: Home Movies and Everyday Masterpieces (2022).

Residing on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, Alexis, an uninvited settler of Irish ancestry, is deeply grateful for the opportunity to create and connect in this community.
